Welcome to the latest section of Best of the Bunch. Here we keep a record of the latest additions to
the directory, enabling our users to see fresh content at-a-glance. This page is a work in progress, so
will be updated every time a new site is added.
Several additions to the shopping category this update, with Prowse & Hargood Shirts, who make luxury cotton shirts, Alpha Talk, who supply custom dialling codes, and Zoo Jewellery, who are an online shop selling men and womens jewellery. In the Insurance category, we have Dial Direct.
The specialist holidays category has had an update today, with several sites added including Trailbreak Mountain bike holidays, who offer mountain biking trips and events, Dog Tag, who offer travel insurance to backpackers and for winter sports holidays, and Contours, who offer walking holidays throughout the UK.
Multiple additions to the Environment category today, including People and Planet, which deals with the issues of population, poverty and the environment, Envirowise, which is a government funded programme offering advice on reducing waste, The National Trust, who help to protect areas of land and historically interesting properties, Air Quality Archive, which offers useful information and statistics on air pollution, and The SUSTRANS Network, which encourages people to walk, cycle and use public transport instead of cars, to reduce pollution and congestion.
New additions today include Ashley Charles Real Estate and WheresMyProperty, both in the property section, as well as Vision 3K, suppliers of designer sunglasses, in the Shopping category. More updates to come very soon!! Happy new year to all our users; latest additions so far this month include Cafe Slim, who offer personalised slimming programmes, and Dreamy Feet, who specialise in footcare products, both in the health section.
Latest sites include several additions to the insurance section, including Health Insurance UK and UK Home Insurance, as well as Kiddicare, an online shop supplying baby products. In the health section, we've added Diet I, a useful resource site offering non-biased information on many of the popular types of diet.
More additions to the Outdoors category, including King Kong Climbing Walls, who manufacture indoor climbing walls, MTB Britain, which offers information, advice and route guides for mountain bikers, Compass West, who offer rock climbing courses in Cornwall, and Garthy Fog Farm, accommodation in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, being added to the "Outdoors" section.
Latest additions to the Outdoors subcategory of the Recreation category include Guiding Light, with UK Links, Technology Resource, Hosting Shop and Velnet being added to the Internet category, and Devseek, a developers portal, being added to the I.T resources section.
Despite continuing the category restructuring, we've been beavering away adding new sites. The "Stay At Home" category has been updated with the sites of the terrestrial TV channels, BBC, ITV, and Channel 4, as well as My Offers, who offer the chance to enter competitions for free.
There have been numerous new entries since the last update, but the main effort has been put towards implementing a new, more detailed directory structure. For an example of the categories that this has been rolled out to at the time of writing, see the home category.. you'll notice that on the left hand side of the page, a new box has been added which splits the sites in that category up, making it easier to find the information you're after. We're not quite Yahoo yet, but we're getting there!!
The recruitment section has been updated with several new sites, ranging from specialist dental staff agencies to recruitment agencies for teaching positions.
A host of credit card suppliers have been added to the finance section.. with this huge range of credit card suppliers, most offering 0% finance on balance transfers, there is no excuse to be paying interest on your credit card balances! Take a look here. Also, added to the home section, is Cheeky Brats, a supplier of baby products, including prams etc.
Additions to the Finance section include Company Wizard, who specialise in helping to register Limited companies without the aid of a solicitor, Companies House, the UK government company register, and UK Business Formations, who offer formation of Ltd. and Plc. companies.
Additions to the Shopping section include Walsh Brothers, watchmakers and jewellers, Rome Gift Shop, who specialise in Italy and Rome related gifts, Shop'z 24/7, a directory of e-commerce sites, My Invites, who offer wedding invitations and wedding stationery, and Egypt Bazaar, who offer a range of hand painted gifts from Egypt..
Latest additions to the property section include Skye Homes, manufacturers of timber frame kit-houses; and Right Move, a UK estate agent, as well as Origin Blue I, manufacturers of GPS satelite based speed camera detection systems, in the Automotive section. Additions to the Travel section include LateDeals.com, Friendship Travel and Drive Alive.
A new addition to the Property section, with Right Move, as well as the Designer Lingerie Store, the Body Shop, Forzieri and Sunglasses UK in the shopping section.
This weeks additions have been mainly to the Property category, concentrating on London estate agents. These include Foxtons, The London Property Guide, Winkworths and Home Senter. An additon to the Finance section is A.F Hislop Accounting, an accountant in Cape Town, South Africa.
A number of additions to the Travel section, with a number of tour operators and holiday park operators, including Butlins, Hoseasons, and Haven, who all offer holiday park accommodation throughout the UK and / or Europe, as well as Golden Sun Leisure and Crystal Holidays, who offer holidays further afield.
Todays additions include National Childrens' Homes, a childrens charity, in the Home and Family section, as well as Seat, the Spanish vehicle manufacturer, in the automotive category. Finally, in the Travel category, we have Leisure Direction, a tour operator offering a wide range of short breaks throughout Europe.
So far this month, we've been busy with a slight category shake-up, starting to add sites of a particular subject to the same page; for instance, in the finance section, you'll find that most, if not all, of the insurance related sites are on the same page. The site will still function in the same way, but be more organised. Apart from that, there have been some additions to the Home & Family section; this section will also contain the sites related to Society in general, as well as the more specific family related ones. Firstly, the Energy Saving Trust has been added; this is an organisation dedicated to addressing the effects of climate change, through energy conservation and the use of alternative fuels. Also added, is Glutafin, who specialise in gluten and wheat-free foods. Allergy Advice contains a wealth of information on dealing with allergies. Finally, on a home and garden theme, Evergreens are manufacturers of artificial grass, used for a number of applications.
