February 2005 - Callserve

Callserve is an Internet Telephone Provider. This means that they allow phone calls to be made over the Internet. They do this at reduced rates over the standard telephone network providers.

The way this is done, is by the customer downloading some free software from the Callserve site.. you then register your details, purchase some call time, and make your call!

Callserve claim that a saving of up to 90% can be made when calling via their system. Their site features a chart showing their call rates to a number of countries, and the prices certainly look very attractive.

The Callserve site is incredibly easy to use.. the navigation is well laid out and intuitively designed. There is a large 'Help' section which covers most of the problems that could arise from trying to get the system to work.

All in all, a great user experience, and a great product.. I'm off to download mine now!
