October 2004 - Every Investor

Every Investor is a web site which compares a range of financial products, such as car insurance, loans, credit cards, savings accounts, mortgages and many more.

Also on offer are two newsletters, the "Investor Monthly" and the "Share Weekly", which offer many tips regarding wise investments.

A very good feature of the site is the "Best Buys Fact File" section, which contains an incredible amount of information on everything from choosing the best credit card to stake holder pensions. This section is unfortunately quite hard to find on the site; at the time of writing, there is a link to it from the home page in the middle of three square shaped banners towards the bottom of the page, and you can also get there by clicking on "Best Buys" in the navigation at the bottom of each page, and then clicking on the link in the last paragraph of the resulting page.

Although there is lots of information on the site, it would be impossible to write a review without mentioning the huge amounts of advertising on the site; it is littered with banner adverts. These are generally targeted though, so as long as you don't mind banners too much, there shouldn't be a problem - the sheer amount of useful information on the site more than makes up for the advertising as far as I'm concerned.

The comparison sections, which are accessible from the left-hand "Best Buys" menu, are a very good feature - most of these have direct links to the application pages web sites of the companies offering the service, which is a handy feature.

All in all, a site worthy of the Site of the Month monicker, as long as you can get past the advertising!
